Job Summary
We’re looking for a talented Senior Technical Animator to join our team and help develop an open-world MMORPG on UE5. Responsibilities include creating and developing animation blueprints, setting up and testing animations in-engine, maintaining and polishing animation systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, debugging issues, and planning project goals. This role is not focused on character rigging.
Must Have
- Create and develop animation blueprints with emphasis on gameplay, performance, and quality.
- Set up and test animations in the game engine.
- Maintain, develop, and polish the animation system in feature areas.
- Work in small strike teams with animators, designers, and software engineers.
- Help debug animation-related issues.
- Plan short- and long-term project goals with project managers.
- Report to the technical animation director and attend reviews.
- Experience with animation blueprints and other animation-related UE types.
- Good at following directions and open to feedback.
- Be detailed-oriented and organized.
- Must play video games.
- Work during European work hours (UTC, UTC+2).

- Background or experience as an animator.
- Experience working on networked multiplayer games.
- Experience with motion-matching systems.

- Create and develop animation blueprints, with emphasis on gameplay, performance and quality.
- Set up animation in the game engine and test them in game.
- Be responsible for the maintenance, development and polish of the animation system in your feature areas.
- Work in small strike teams with animators, designers and software engineers to build game features according to the design and vision
- Help debug animation-related issues.
- Work with project managers to plan out short- and long-term project goals.
- Report to the technical animation director, attend reviews and be a part of a growing animation team.
- This is not a character rigging role.
