Autodesk Consulting is seeking highly skilled and execution-oriented Principal Technical Consultants with domain expertise in manufacturing or architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). This role is pivotal in leading the successful implementation of Autodesk technologies for enterprise customers across Japan’s industrial and construction sectors. You will translate complex business challenges into actionable, scalable, and technically sound solutions, contributing directly to real-world transformation through advanced technologies like BIM, cloud platforms, factory automation, and digital workflows. Responsibilities include deploying Autodesk solutions, executing full implementation cycles, applying expertise in tools like Inventor, Vault, Fusion 360, Revit, and ACC, and providing practical consulting in areas such as BIM and factory automation.
Must have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, computer science, or related field.
  • Strong experience in product design, manufacturing, or architectural project execution.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk technologies: Inventor, Vault, Fusion 360, Revit, BIM 360, ACC.
  • Practical knowledge in factory operations, cloud platforms, inventory/resource management, scripting/API.
  • Knowledge of BIM practices (LOD, ISO 19650) or Japanese building regulations.
  • Fluent in Japanese.
  • Ability to plan, manage and execute technical work independently.
Good to have:
  • Experience in building materials, modular construction, or industrial product manufacturing.
  • Experience delivering consulting or implementation services for enterprise-scale projects.
  • Familiarity with supply chain systems, cloud infrastructure, or enterprise integration.
  • Knowledge of Python, C++, or web-based development (HTML5, JavaScript, CSS).
  • Experience with Digital Twin, AR/VR/MR, and advanced data management.
  • Proactive, solution-focused mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Position Overview

Autodesk Consulting is seeking highly skilled and execution-oriented Principal Technical Consultants with domain expertise in manufacturing or architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC). This role is pivotal in leading the successful implementation of Autodesk technologies for enterprise customers across Japan’s industrial and construction sectors.

As part of the Technical Advisory (TA) organization, you will translate complex business challenges into actionable, scalable, and technically sound solutions. This is not just a strategic role—it requires hands-on implementation and collaboration with some of Japan’s most innovative and demanding clients. You will contribute directly to real-world transformation through advanced technologies like BIM, cloud platforms, factory automation, and digital workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deploy Autodesk solutions for enterprise clients in the fields of product design, digital manufacturing, and/or building lifecycle management
  • Execute full implementation cycles including configuration, development, workflow automation, and integration
  • Apply expertise in Autodesk tools such as Inventor, Vault, Fusion 360, Revit, and ACC to deliver value-focused solutions
  • Provide practical consulting in domains such as BIM, factory automation, cloud infrastructure, resource/material planning, and supply chain integration
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to senior client stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to resolve technical challenges and ensure successful delivery
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and technical enablement programs
  • Ensure quality and consistency through structured planning and iterative delivery

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Architecture, Computer Science, or related technical field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Strong experience in product design, manufacturing, or architectural project execution
  • Proficiency in Autodesk technologies:
  • Manufacturing: Inventor, Vault, Fusion 360
  • AEC: Revit, BIM 360, ACC
  • Knowledge in at least one of the following:
  • Factory operations, cloud platforms, inventory/resource management, scripting/API
  • BIM practices (LOD, ISO 19650)
  • Japanese building regulations and approval processes
  • Fluent in Japanese; English proficiency preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, manage, and execute technical work independently

Preferred Qualifications:
