Oversee and optimize our transportation operations in a growing organization. This role requires a results-driven individual with a passion for system implementation, operational efficiency, and collaboration. You’ll play a key role in driving cost savings, negotiating carrier rates, and ensuring seamless communication across internal and external teams.
Must have:
  • Maintain day-to-day oversight of logistics operations and shipment coordination.
  • Negotiate competitive carrier rates and service agreements while fostering strong relationships with transportation providers.
  • Source, implement, and manage a Transportation Management System (TMS) to drive operational efficiencies.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Analyze transportation data, identify trends, and report actionable insights to senior management.
  • Establish KPIs and reporting tools to track performance and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Act as a liaison between supply chain, warehouses, and partners.
  • Maintain logs in partner portals for timely pickups, deliveries, and compliance.
  • Proactively identify operational challenges and develop solutions, converting successful processes into formalized SOPs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, timeliness, and resolution of issues.
  • Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.
  • Proven negotiation skills and experience managing carrier relationships.
  • Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior management.
  • Detail-oriented with a solution-focused mindset and a passion for continuous improvement.

  • Knowledge of customs operations and regulatory compliance

Position Summary:

Oversee and optimize our transportation operations in a growing organization. This role requires a results-driven individual with a passion for system implementation, operational efficiency, and collaboration. You’ll play a key role in driving cost savings, negotiating carrier rates, and ensuring seamless communication across internal and external teams.

Responsibilities:

• Transportation Management: Maintain day-to-day oversight of logistics operations, ensuring seamless coordination of shipments across air, LTL, FTL, and ocean freight.

• Negotiation & Vendor Management: Negotiate competitive carrier rates and service agreements while fostering strong relationships with transportation providers.

• System Implementation & Optimization: Source, implement, and manage a Transportation Management System (TMS) to drive operational efficiencies.

• Operational Efficiency: Develop and enforce SOPs in line with company goals to improve productivity and reduce costs across 3PL and owned warehouse operations.

• Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze transportation data, identify trends, and report actionable insights to senior management. Establish KPIs and reporting tools to track performance and opportunities for continuous improvement.

• Cross-Functional Communication: Act as a liaison between supply chain, warehouses, and partners to ensure alignment on freight schedules and customer requirements (including B2C).

• Carrier & Partner Visibility: Maintain logs in partner portals (Amazon, Lowe’s, Walmart, etc.) to ensure timely pickups, deliveries, and compliance with shipping expectations.

• Problem Solving: Proactively identify operational challenges and develop solutions, converting successful processes into formalized SOPs.

• Shipment Tracking: Monitor inbound and outbound shipments for accuracy, timeliness, and resolution of issues.

  • Travel: Periodic travel to Greenworks and Partner facilities to study and implement operational improvements and build relationships.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in transportation or logistics management.

• Proven negotiation skills and experience managing carrier relationships.

• Familiarity with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools.

• Experience with SAP, FGV, and vendor portals (preferred).

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to senior management.

• Knowledge of customs operations and regulatory compliance is a plus.
