Job Description

Greenworks, a rapidly growing global manufacturer, is advancing sustainable residential and commercial products with over 20 years of R&D and 1000+ patents in battery technology. The Quality Manager will develop and implement quality standards and protocols for rigorous quality assurance testing across manufacturing operations. This role involves consistent coordination and communication between global manufacturing teams and North American customers, ensuring alignment on business requirements, product quality expectations, and performance feedback with Greenworks leadership and plant personnel.
Good To Have:
  • Prior experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry.
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ, Lean, or Six Sigma.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access and LabVIEW.
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin.
Must Have:
  • Lead the development of reporting frameworks to track and analyze monthly product quality returns.
  • Provide actionable insights to support continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer-facing quality matters.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to address customer concerns and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage product liability cases, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Oversee product recall and rework activities, ensuring timely execution and compliance.
  • Oversee and ensure quality compliance of incoming freight through detailed inspection.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or quality management.
  • Proven expertise in supporting quality management systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies.
  • Hands-on experience with consumer electro-mechanical products.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to participate in off-hours teleconferences with international teams.

Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for developing and implementing quality standards and protocols to support rigorous quality assurance testing across manufacturing operations. As the company’s design and production activities are primarily conducted internationally, this role requires consistent coordination and communication between global manufacturing teams and North American customers. The position works closely with leadership and plant personnel to ensure alignment on business requirements, product quality expectations, and performance feedback.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Quality Oversight & Reporting

  • Lead the development of reporting frameworks to track and analyze monthly product quality returns across multiple data sources, including customer returns, call center logs, online reviews, and trend analyses.
  • Provide actionable insights to support continuous improvement and cross-functional alignment.

Customer & Product Support

  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer-facing quality matters, communicating product issues, improvement initiatives, and service-related incidents professionally and promptly.
  • Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering teams to address customer concerns and implement corrective actions based on return data and field feedback.

Product Integrity & Compliance

  • Support the Product Integrity team by managing product liability cases, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and reporting.
  • Oversee product recall and rework activities, ensuring timely execution, thorough documentation, and compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and ensure quality compliance of incoming freight through detailed inspection and verification processes.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • 5–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing or quality management, with a strong emphasis on product development and process improvement
  • Prior experience in the Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) industry is highly desirable
  • Proven expertise in supporting quality management systems, including warranty and returns analysis, as well as incoming, in-process, and final inspections
  • Demonstrated ability to test and troubleshoot electronic assemblies with precision and efficiency
  • Hands-on experience with consumer electro-mechanical products, preferably outdoor power equipment and/or power tools
  • Professional certifications such as ASQ, Lean, or Six Sigma are preferred
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly across teams
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; working knowledge of Microsoft Access and LabVIEW is a plus
  • Willingness to participate in off-hours teleconferences with international teams as needed
  • Ability to communicate in Mandarin is beneficial for global engagement, but not essential for success in this role.

Travel Requirements

  • Travel may be required based on business needs, including occasional visits to domestic or international locations.
