Position Summary:
The supply chain manager will drive operational KPI improvements across inventory, planning, procurement, and manufacturing operational excellence, creating a role model E2E process. This position will be responsible for all forecasting & inventory planning activities associated with e-commerce customers and products. They create and maintain item level forecast models for their customers, incorporating business intelligence and forecast information gathered from sales, marketing, finance, and retailer replenishment systems. This position will manage the forecast, supply plan, MRP, and the financial S&OP planning process in partnership with the sales team. They share the responsibility to maintain a 98% in-stock level while meeting/exceeding inventory turnover goals. Specific KPI’s include forecast error, in-stock levels, inventory turnover, and backorder management. This candidate must be able to remain at a stationary position at least 50% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication with customer counterparts in merchandising, replenishment, logistics, and planning, and inventory management.
- Oversee the forecast generation and input within IBP/SAP for assigned customer accounts.
- Collaborate with all internal stakeholders on new product introductions, aligning supply chain capabilities with projected sales requirements for successful launches.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the sales & operations sectors, ensuring timely deliveries and favorable KPI's.
- Utilize ERP system (SAP) daily to retrieve necessary data points for proactive & reactive business decisions.
- Resolve supply chain bottlenecks by developing target improvement strategies within overall pipeline via ladder planning.
- Coordinate directly with overseas manufacturing to support shipment schedules.
- Monitor and track supplier and inbound shipment performance and inventory availability.
- Maintain a mindset of continuous improvement – provide feedback surrounding current processes to identify gaps and develop ideas to remedy those gaps.
- Support category plans and customer PLR process, providing analytics and insights as requested.
- Track and monitor forecast performance and provide gap analysis and corrective action plans geared towards improving forecast accuracy and the overall process.
- Provide insights to nonproductive and obsolete inventory based on productivity targets and forecasts.
- Build and maintain customer scorecards measuring forecast accuracy and service metrics and track compliance to customer expectations.
- Work jointly with sales and marketing to identify growth trends as well as any promotional activity that will impact overall demand and end supply chain.
- Review monthly & weekly forecast accuracy performance to pinpoint opportunities and adjust as necessary.
- Interact closely with internal warehousing, distribution, and transportation to understand overall logistics and order fulfillment, and facilitate solutions for customers in tandem with these teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite for day-to-day analysis and communication.
Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree BS/BB in Supply Chain (preferred), Operations Management, Business Management, Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Systems – minimum of 5 years working in SAP as primary ERP platform, and IBP as forecasting platform.
- Experience – minimum of 5 years in demand planning/forecasting/supply chain. Import experience is preferred.
- Solid understanding of supply chain management and demand planning function. S&OP experience is preferred.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills utilizing modeling aspects of Microsoft Excel, Access or other related software tools. Retail web portal reporting experience is preferred.

- Experience working with Amazon, either internal, or as a supplier, is highly valued.
