Tank Plater

The Tank Plater will undertake all duties associated with that of Plater/Welder, operating out of the Company’s facility in Rotherham, satisfying the delivery of service to all customers and on specific projects. They will use technical skills and knowledge, satisfying client demand and delivering solutions to a high standard, ensuring HSE conformance, quality to BS EN ISO 9001, and adherence to customer specifications like ASME9 / BS EN / CE.

Must Have

• Undertake Plater/Welder duties.
• Operate from Rotherham facility, including travel to sites.
• Ensure HSE and Quality (BS EN ISO 9001) conformance.
• Perform welding and fabrication to customer specifications (ASME9, BS EN, CE).
• Read technical design drawings and perform mechanical assembly.
• Safely use weld, power, and hand equipment (including grinder).
• Apply knowledge of API & EEMUA standards.
• Manage fabrication documentation to CE standard.
• Weld to WPS Standards and use LOLLER Equipment (Cranes, Forklift).
• Demonstrate established safety behaviors (PPE, safe working practices).
• Work both independently and lead team members.
• Manage projects to exacting deadlines and quality standards.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in the industry, especially with storage tanks to API & EEMUA standards.
• Competent in English, Maths, and IT systems.

• Testing – To all assigned standards.
• Equipment management - PUWER & User conformance.
• Weld coding management – To ASME9 & BS EN.
• Coded welder – Adherence to all HSE Hot Work Safety Systems.
• Read and understand technical design drawing specification.
• Product mechanical assembly to drawings specification.
• Safe use of weld & power / hand equipment (To include grinder).
• Knowledge of API & EEMUA standards.
• Adherence / control / completion of fabrication documentation to CE standard.

• Competent in I.T System use.
