Job Summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Project Supply Chain Manager for its Hydro Power North America division. This role is crucial in the fight against climate change, contributing to electrifying and decarbonizing the world. The manager will drive the execution of allocated project scope to maximize cash and margin, ensuring on-time delivery in compliance with contracts. Responsibilities include managing supply chain actions, budget, risks, and ensuring contractual requirements are met for equipment delivery. Must Have

  • Represent the Project within the Supply Chain organization and vice versa.
  • Ensure full implementation of customer contractual requirements for equipment.
  • Manage Supply Chain action progress plan for On Time Delivery, Quality, Cost, and compliance.
  • Update, analyze, and manage key performance indicators and provide feedback.
  • Manage detailed budget, risks, and opportunities related to the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with Material Management, Planning, Sourcing, and Transport & Logistics teams.
  • Ensure proper hand-over with ITO team for OTR execution.
  • Organize working sessions to define project strategy and build EPP.
  • Interact with Material Planner to ensure timely fabrication orders, purchase requisitions, and shipments.
  • Regularly update key dates with the project team to secure OTD and cash flow.
  • Monitor project budget for manufacturing, direct material, transport, and storage costs.
  • Analyze slippages, consolidate information for project review, and ensure consistency of margin movement root causes.
  • Timely update and review project risks and opportunities, deciding on actions for overall project performance.
  • Assume full responsibility for allocated project scope delivery and report non-conformities and cost overruns.
  • Drive EHS engagement and promote quality discipline and zero tolerance for delays.
  • Bachelor to Master in Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or Project Management.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in project management, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement/supply chain in a project context.

Drives execution of the allocated Project scope to maximize results with respect to Cash & Margin. Ensures on time delivery in compliance with the contract. Owns interface between Engineering, Planning and Supply chain.

Job Description

Role purpose

  • Is the Project representative within the Supply Chain organization,
  • Is the Supply Chain representative within Project team, representing during execution, all Supply Chain’ sub-functions such as Manufacturing, Sourcing, Procurement and Transport & Logistics
  • Guarantee within the Supply Chain and beyond, the full implementation of the Customer’ contractual requirements for the Equipment to be delivered,
  • Will be the conduit between the supply chain, engineering COE and the projects team to drive execution of the allocated Project
  • Manage Supply Chain action progress plan to ensure On Time Delivery, Quality (NCR), Cost and contractual compliance
  • Update, analyze and manage key performance indicator and ensure regular feedback of experience
  • Manage detailed budget (CTC), risks and opportunities belonging to supply chain
  • Work closely with the Material Management, Planning, Material Planner (make or buy), Sourcing and Transport & Logistic team. As well as with all project team members, under the lead of the project director

Essential responsibilities

  • Ensure hand-over with ITO team to properly start OTR execution (costing files, ITO EPP, Cost hypothesis and related industrial scheme),
  • Perform working sessions with all other functions at project start, to settle project strategy, taking into account procurement strategy plan and to building EPP. As well as regular review along execution to ensure implementation as planned.
  • Interact with Material Planner in order to guarantee that the fabrication order submission, Purchase Requisition creation, Purchase Order placement, shipment and day to day activities are well performed, to respect the project planning and all milestones/targets of the project
  • Interact with project team to regularly update key dates and ensure that actions are deployed to secure OTD (planning) and cash (financials).
  • Monitor project budget for the total cost of is related scope (Manufacturing, Direct material, transport, warehouse/storage)
  • Analyze slippages issues for is related scope, consolidate information for project review and ensure the consistency of the root cause of margin movement.
  • Timely update and review the risk and opportunity of the Project, evaluate and decide on action that benefits overall performance of the project
  • Assume full responsibility for the delivery of the allocated project scope. Ensure then all non-conformities and cost overrun reporting.
  • Drive EHS engagement, promote and enhance discipline toward quality and zero tolerance for delay.

Supply Chain: Production & Material control: Understand the operational process map. Able to recognize and communicate customer specific requirements, understands levers to influence procurement/production, assess and define reaction plans for an un-forecasted delivery, quality or operations event, develops long term plan to mitigate risks, improve OTD, and expedite opportunities to meet customer demands. Interfaces with planning.

Product Cost: Recognizes the deliverable metrics for the various business functions. Predicts, requests and provides rationale for deviations from forecasts. Support /influence suppliers to develop and execute resource, capacity, and technology plans which create a competitive advantage for GE. Design Integration + Manufacturing Engineering: Influences Manufacturing process technology roadmap, developing a close connection with Sourcing, Manufacturing (Advance Manufacturing) and Engineering (System Integrators)

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor to Master in Engineering or Business Administration or Supply Chain management or Project Management
  • Minimum 3 to 5 year’ experience (LPB), coordination in project Management, Manufacturing, sourcing /procurement/ supply chain in project related context.

Organizational reporting

Reports to the Supply chain organization and equally part of the Project Director team(s)
