Job Summary

As Controls Systems Integration Leader, you will translate GE Vernova Wind Turbine Product requirements into Controls requirements, develop Controls Parameter settings, and contribute to critical New Product Introductions (NPIs). You will also develop Product and System level requirements (PLR/SLR) for Controls, integrate inputs for Turbine Controls Parameter sets, drive NPI execution, ensure compliance to Controls & Operability processes, and support quality issue resolution related to Controls Software. This role involves interacting with various engineering sub-systems and supporting a global team for 40,000+ wind turbines.

Must Have

  • Develop Product and System level requirements (PLR/SLR) for Controls.
  • Integrate inputs from relevant functional owners to develop Turbine Controls Parameter sets.
  • Drive execution of NPIs with substantial Controls work packages across all development phases.
  • Ensure rigor in Controls Lifecycle Management and compliance to Controls & Operability processes.
  • Support quality issue resolution and root cause analysis related to Controls Software.
  • BSc/MSc in Engineering or Science from an accredited University.
  • 5+ years in Controls, Systems, or Services engineering.
  • 5+ years in wind turbine engineering, product design, or technology development.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle: requirements, design, validation, launch.
  • Effective time management and rigorous organization of work.
  • Ability to work with a multi-cultural and globally distributed team.

  • Clear communication, able to simplify complex topics.
  • Experience in system-level design and integration.
  • Knowledge of real-time control systems (e.g., GE MarkVIe).
  • Ability to translate high-level product and customer needs into detailed, testable technical requirements.

Job Description Summary

As Controls Systems Integration Leader you will drive the translation of GE Vernova Wind Turbine Product requirements into Controls requirements, develop Controls Parameter settings and contribute to critical New Product Introductions (NPIs).

In this role, you will be reporting to the Controls Integration Leader, joining a global team of Systems engineers that is part of the Controls Sub-System within the GE Vernova Wind Engineering organization.

In addition to Controls, you will interact closely with other Sub-systems and Systems engineers, as well as with Product Line and Services/Customer engineering.

By supporting multiple, concurrent new products and an installed fleet of 40,000+ wind turbines, this role offers the opportunity to greatly contribute to deliver reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy to GE Vernova’s customers all over the world.

  • Develop Product and System level requirements (PLR/SLR) for Controls.
  • Integrate inputs from relevant functional owners to develop Turbine Controls Parameter sets.
  • Drive execution of NPIs with substantial Controls work packages across all development phases, from early conceptual stages to final validation and deployment.
  • Ensure rigor in Controls Lifecycle Management and compliance to Controls & Operability processes.
  • Support quality issue resolution and root cause analysis related to Controls Software.
  • Deliver technical reporting and presentations for internal and external purposes, including design reviews and customer meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • BSc/MSc in Engineering or Science from an accredited University.
  • 5+ years in Controls, Systems, or Services engineering.
  • 5+ years in wind turbine engineering, product design, or technology development.
  • Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle: requirements, design, validation, launch.
  • Effective time management and rigorous organization of work.
  • Ability to work with a multi-cultural and globally distributed team.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $113,200.00 and $188,800.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
