BESS Electrical Engineer

An Electrical Engineer in BESS will perform Power System Studies, ensuring system functions meet grid requirements and overall system protection. The role involves ensuring design compliance with CE and UL standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-8 years of experience in the BESS domain, including expertise in power system studies like load flow, short circuit, arc flash, and protection coordination using tools such as ETAP and Matlab.

Must Have

• Perform Power System Studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination)
• Ensure overall System functions as per grid requirements
• Ensure overall protection of the system
• Ensure design is compliant with CE and UL standards
• Experience with ETAP and Matlab tools
• Strong academic background in Electrical Engineering
• 5-8 years of experience in BESS domain
• Good understanding of protection system coordination design
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of industry standards for safe battery storage system design

Electrical Engineer in BESS will perform Power System Studies and ensure overall System functions as per the grid requirements + ensuring overall protection of the system,

The engineer will also ensure the design is compliant to the relevant CE, UL standards

Qualifications

Educational qualification:

Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-8 yrs of experience in BESS domain

Mandatory/requires Skills :

• Ideal candidate will bring a strong academic background and relevant experience to BESS.
• Candidate should have experience in performing power system studies as below :
• including load flow,
• short circuit,
• arc flash, and
• protection coordination, using tools such as ETAP and Matlab.
• A good understanding of protection system coordination design is also essential
• Acquire in-depth knowledge of industry standards related to safe battery storage system design, including both CE and UL standards
• Tools knowledge: ETAP and Matlab
