Job Summary

As an EHS Apprentice at GE Vernova's Power Conversion division, you will be at the heart of tomorrow's energy electrification. This role involves actively participating in the daily monitoring and improvement of HSE actions, developing the site's EHS culture, conducting audits, managing non-conformities, analyzing incidents, and updating risk assessments. You will also contribute to waste management, chemical risk assessment, and emergency simulations, supporting the global energy transition.

Must Have

  • Monitor daily HSE improvement actions
  • Develop site EHS culture and integrate it into processes
  • Participate in EHS audits and inspections (documentary and field)
  • Record and follow up on site, factory, and construction site non-conformities
  • Participate in deploying group's golden rules on site
  • Analyze accidents, incidents, and EHS events
  • Analyze risk situations and prioritize actions
  • Participate in updating Professional Risk Assessment (EvRP) and associated PAPRIPACT
  • Monitor and improve document management (procedures, instructions, forms)
  • Track indicators and EHS reports
  • Participate in EHS management reviews, CSSCT, and other EHS action progress meetings
  • Monitor management of Personal Protective Equipment stock
  • Improve waste management and traceability (hazardous and non-hazardous)
  • Manage chemical risks (inventory, risk analysis, exposure measurements, prevention and protection measures)
  • Participate in various EHS missions related to external companies on site and construction sites
  • Participate in and lead EHS Emergency Simulations
  • Maintain and improve communication management (EHS Flashes, golden rules)

Power Conversion, part of GE Vernova, with over 3,700 employees, applies its power conversion expertise to contribute to the electrification of the global energy infrastructure. We design, manufacture, and install advanced motor, converter, and control system technologies that help improve efficiency and decarbonization across various industries, thereby accelerating the energy transition in marine, energy, and industrial applications.

The apprentice will primarily be responsible for the following missions:

  • Ensure daily monitoring of HSE improvement actions
  • Develop the site's EHS culture and monitor its integration into all processes.
  • Participate in and maintain EHS audits and other inspections (documentary and field).
  • Record and follow up on site, factory, and construction site non-conformities and participate in the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in the deployment of the group's golden rules within the site (Communicate, animate, and ensure understanding by all).
  • Analyze accidents, incidents, and EHS events (investigations and cause analysis).
  • Analyze risk situations and participate in action prioritization.
  • Participate in updating the Professional Risk Assessment (EvRP) and follow the associated PAPRIPACT.
  • Monitor and improve document management (procedures, instructions, forms, etc.).
  • Track indicators and EHS reports.
  • Participate in EHS management reviews, CSSCT, and other EHS action progress meetings.
  • Monitor the management of Personal Protective Equipment stock.

Candidate Profile:

You are preparing a Bac+4 with a specialization in HSE or QHSE (Master or others) (preferably Master 1).

You are proficient in Microsoft Office.

Knowledge of ISO 45001 and/or ISO 14001 standards.

Fluent English essential.

Internal auditor training would be a plus.

Curious and dynamic by nature, you enjoy field work and have good interpersonal skills.
