EA Motive is seeking a Senior UI Scripter for the Battlefield Franchise. This role involves developing and improving UI systems and interfaces, building new features, and establishing workflows. The scripter will collaborate with various disciplines, including UX Designers and Artists, to realize their visions, working full-time in Montreal, Canada, and reporting to the Senior UI/UX Manager.
Must Have
- Collaborate with Technical Designers, artists, UX designers, and Software Developers to build user interfaces.
- Meet UI design lead expectations.
- Promote best practices for UI architecture (organization, reusability, live product development).
- Advocate for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence.
- Refine workflows and polish UI with the team for an outstanding user experience.
- Implement visual design of UI/HUD using proprietary and third-party software.
- 7+ years of UI technical design and implementation experience.
- Expert knowledge of at least one scripting language: Lua, JavaScript, or Python.
- Good understanding of UX methodology and Design theory.
- Portfolio showcasing relevant work with well-thought-out process and excellent craft.

Job Description
Motive is seeking an experienced UI Scripter to join our Studio and the Battlefield Franchise.
You will join a global development team to help develop and improve our UI systems and interfaces across all of the Battlefield experiences.
As a Senior UI Scripter, you will build new features, help establish new workflows that allow the team to leverage their strengths.
You will collaborate with multiple disciplines on game & engine features and work with our UX Designers and Artists to help realize their visions. The position is full-time and based in Montreal, Qc, Canada. You will have 7+ years of experience in the games industry and will report to the Senior UI/UX Manager.
Responsibilities:
- You will collaborate with a team of Technical Designers, artists, UX designers and Software Developers to build user interfaces.
- You will meet the expectations of the UI design lead.
- You will promote best practices for UI architecture with a goal of organization, reusability and with the thought of developing for a live product (easily updatable).
- You will advocate for user experience, product consistency, and design excellence.
- You will work with the UI team (Artist, Engineers, Designers) to refine workflows, and polish the UI to create an outstanding user experience, from concept to ship.
- You will use both proprietary software and third-party tech to implement the visual design of the UI / HUD within the game.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of UI technical design and implementation experience.
- Expert knowledge of at least 1 scripting languages: Lua, JavaScript, Python or similar.
- Good understanding of UX methodology, and Design theory.
- A portfolio of work that showcases relevant work that contains well thought out process and excellent craft execution
- BS or BA degree (or equivalent experience).
