We’re hiring a talented individual to help one of our product teams shape the player experience for Total Battle.

Your mission will be to inform design decisions and product strategy with data, continuously improving the game for players.

This role comes with an exciting challenge: you will be the first UX Researcher in the company, giving you the opportunity to shape research processes from scratch and drive significant change in how the product evolves.

You’ll work within a close, cross-functional team — Product Manager, Designers, Engineers, Analysts.

Responsibilities:

• Design and conduct qualitative and quantitative research, including usability tests, playtests, diary studies, and surveys.
• Combine gameplay videos, behavioral metrics, in-game analytics, and survey data to identify actionable paths to improve designs.
• Create and present detailed reports with prioritized recommendations, collaborating with designers and the product manager to integrate findings into the product roadmap.
• Develop standardized research methodologies.
• Stay up to date with mobile UX trends and best practices, particularly for strategy MMOs, to bring innovative research methods and design recommendations to the team.

Job requirements

Who are we looking for?

• Proven experience with qualitative methods (e.g., interviews, behavioral observation) and quantitative methods, with the ability to adapt HCI principles to game UX.
• Deep understanding of mobile F2P midcore games, including player motivations, retention drivers, and monetization UX; hands-on experience playing mobile midcore games.
• Proficiency with research tools (e.g., PlaytestCloud, Google Forms); familiarity with remote testing setups.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to present findings to non-research stakeholders.
• Expertise in data interpretation, hypothesis testing, and visualization, with a keen ability to observe player behaviors and emotions during tests.
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple studies in agile environments.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in HCI, Psychology, Game Design, or a related field.
