We’re looking for a seasoned, solutions-oriented Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Strategy to lead paid media strategy for one of the world’s most iconic technology brands, focused on handheld phones and mobile products. This leader will sit at the intersection of global corporate direction and local market execution—crafting cohesive strategies that bridge visionary ambition with grounded, market-specific realities. This role involves navigating complexity, inspiring alignment, and solving problems, while leading global strategic direction and serving as a connective tissue across global and local markets. The SVP ensures strategies are innovative, implementable, and engages clients, translates insight into action, and develops top-tier talent.

  • Possess 15+ years of media strategy experience, including global leadership.
  • Demonstrate track record leading global clients in complex matrixed environments.
  • Be fluent in global and local media planning and execution.
  • Strongly understand business KPIs and media's impact on revenue.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic workstreams from insight to implementation.
  • Experience leading integrated, cross-functional teams.
  • Success in navigating internal politics and building consensus.
  • Exhibit executive-level presence and compelling presentation skills.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.

We’re looking for a seasoned, solutions-oriented Senior Vice President (SVP) of Global Strategy to lead paid media strategy for one of the world’s most iconic technology brands, focused on handheld phones and mobile products. This leader will sit at the intersection of global corporate direction and local market execution—crafting cohesive strategies that bridge visionary ambition with grounded, market-specific realities.

This is not a role for someone who simply builds decks. This is a role for someone who can navigate complexity, inspire alignment across stakeholders, and solve problems before they escalate—all while maintaining clarity, confidence, and control in a politically charged, matrixed organization.

You’ll lead global strategic direction, serve as the connective tissue across global and local markets, and ensure strategies are not just innovative, but implementable. You must have the presence to engage clients, the fluency to translate insight into action, and the passion to develop and mentor top-tier talent.

Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Platform Stewardship

  • Define and lead global paid media strategies rooted in data, cultural relevance, and business priorities.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of current media industry news and client business (current and historical perspectives.
  • Derive insights and tell the story by analyzing data from multiple avenues (audience, creative, channel, and overall performance).
  • Lead the development of audience segment identification and strategy.
  • Translate insights into, actionable media frameworks with global cohesion and local adaptability.

Global Integration & Political Savvy

  • Serve as the strategic bridge between HQ, regions and local markets—balancing corporate mandates with in-market sales goals, consumer truths, and media realities.
  • Cascade global strategies through regional and local markets to ensure consistency, clarity, and local empowerment.
  • Anticipate roadblocks in process or politics, and proactively guide solutions across functions and borders.

Client Leadership & Influence

  • Operate as a senior strategic partner to clients, including senior clients based outside of the US.
  • Confidently guide conversations across regional and executive stakeholders to resolve disconnects and move work forward.
  • Offer a consistent POV while flexing your communication style to influence across roles, levels, and time zones.

Team Development & Thought Leadership

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing strategy team across markets, growing talent and embedding a culture of curiosity and rigor.
  • Create clear learning agendas, mentor junior strategists, and ensure consistent quality across deliverables.
  • Drive internal thought leadership efforts and evangelize modern, data-driven strategy principles.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with analytics, activation, search, and partnership teams to ensure integration across all global media plans.
  • Collaborate closely with the data and analytics teams to translate performance into learnings and insights that drive media recommendations.

Qualifications

Experience & Expertise

  • 15+ years of media strategy experience, with significant global and regional campaign leadership.
  • Track record of leading global-level clients in matrixed environments with complex organizational dynamics.
  • Fluency in media planning and execution in both global and local contexts, inclusive of audience identification and sizing.
  • Strong understanding of business KPIs and how media impacts revenue, growth, and share.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic workstreams from insight through implementation.
  • Experience leading integrated, cross-functional teams within or across agencies.
  • Demonstrated success in navigating internal politics, building consensus, and making progress within ambiguity.

Leadership & Communication

  • Executive-level presence and the ability to clearly and convincingly present strategic thinking to senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Natural problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Demonstrated strength in developing and mentoring talent.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, presentation, and storytelling skills.
  • Comfortable facilitating workshops and team working sessions, both virtually and in person.

Practical Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
  • Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate a global team—including early morning and late evening meetings across time zones.

The benefits offerings listed are available to eligible U.S. Based employees, are reviewed on an annual basis, and are governed by the terms of the applicable plan documents.

Compensation Range: $186,000 - $288,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
