Senior Web Developer

Overview

Our client is a leading industry player, delivering premium services across the APAC region. With headquarters in Hong Kong and a 20-year track record of excellence, they are now seeking a talented Senior Web Developer to join their expanding team to shaping the technical direction of the website, supporting junior developers, and ensuring sustainable, high-performing code delivery.

What You Will Do

• Develop and oversee frontend architecture, including directory organization and reusable component strategies for Next.JS and Node.JS
• Establish technical standards, implement quality assurance processes, and enforce best practices for accessibility, performance, and SEO
• Serve as technical bridge between internal teams and external partners, ensuring all code meets established standards and conventions
• Work with Product and Delivery teams to assess technical viability, provide effort estimates, and identify potential platform limitations
• Track performance metrics and lead initiatives to improve site architecture, manage technical debt, and implement refactoring when necessary
• Facilitate collaboration with backend and DevOps teams on API structure, error handling protocols, and deployment readiness

What You Will Need

• 5+ years of front-end development experience with strong proficiency in Node.JS and Next.JS frameworks.
• Proven track record with various rendering techniques, localization, SEO optimization, and API integration.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, performance profiling, and component documentation.
• Exceptional communication skills, particularly in explaining complex technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate technical challenges and provide mentorship to junior developers.
• Reliable team player with strong organizational skills and commitment to meeting deliverables.
