Scopely seeks a Senior Fullstack Engineer to join its Star Trek Fleet Command team in Ireland (hybrid/remote). You'll collaborate with feature owners and development teams to build web tools supporting new game features. Responsibilities include developing advanced web tools with leading UI/UX, designing scalable, low-latency web solutions, collaborating on tools enhancing Live Operators' capabilities, discussing technical workflows with stakeholders, and contributing to technical planning. The ideal candidate possesses extensive software engineering experience, proficiency in Python (or a willingness to learn), strong web architecture understanding, expertise in building high-performance web applications, and knowledge of modern web technologies (Vue.js or Angular preferred).

Scopely is looking for a Fullstack Engineer to join our Star Trek Fleet Command team in Ireland on a hybrid/remote basis. We can support with visa sponsorship and relocation assistance.

What You Will Do

As a Fullstack Engineer, you’ll collaborate closely with feature owners, and development teams to craft web tools and support exciting new game features. You will contribute across the stack, ensuring our game design and operations teams have the robust tools needed to create engaging gameplay experiences.

  • Develop advanced web tools featuring leading UI/UX for our Game Operators and Community Managers.
  • Design and implement scalable, low-latency web solutions that enhance our gaming platform.
  • Collaborate with developers to build and maintain tools that enhance our Live Operators’ capabilities.
  • Discuss technical workflows and requirements with stakeholders, contributing to technical planning.

What We’re Looking For

  • Extensive experience as a software engineer with a solid foundation in programming.
  • Proficiency in Python is preferred, but a willingness to adapt and learn is essential.
  • Strong understanding of web architecture and experience with RESTful services.
  • Proficient in building and delivering high-performance web applications.
  • Knowledge of modern web technologies and frameworks (Vue.js or Angular preferred), with the ability to adapt to our primary technology stack.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6), Typescript, and CSS preprocessors like SCSS.
  • Experience with database management systems like Redis and MySQL, writing efficient code
  • suitable for low-latency environments.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, load testing, and server-side optimizations.
  • A track record of writing and maintaining robust automated tests.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical team members.
