Responsibilities
- Required qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of backend development experience, preferably within the hedge fund or financial services industry
- Strong passion for backend architecture and application development, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement
- Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming, SOLID principles, and design patterns
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Skills
Must have
- C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET Core, Entity Framework Core
- Building and optimizing high-load, high-performance, data-driven backend systems
- Designing and implementing RESTful and SOAP-based web services
- Experience with Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Nice to have
- Exposure to JavaScript/UI frameworks (e.g., Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery) is a plus but not required
- Experience with Portfolio and Risk Management systems (e.g., What-If analysis, scenario modeling, real-time pricing)
- Familiarity with financial instruments (equities, derivatives, fixed income, etc.)
- Strong grasp of RDBMS concepts, data modeling, and database design
- Practice of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and performance profiling across the stack
