Job Description

Absolute Sports, the parent company of Sportskeeda.com and other media platforms, is seeking a remote SEO Intern. This internship offers an opportunity to assist the SEO team with on-page strategy, content optimization, data analysis using Excel/Google Sheets, and competitive research. The role requires curiosity, problem-solving skills, and a strong understanding of US sports news and website fundamentals, along with excellent communication in English.

Must Have:

Assist the SEO team in executing on-page Strategies by optimizing website content.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, including pivot tables, filters, and VLOOKUP.
Ability to work with Google Trends to identify meaningful and relevant topics.
Stay updated with US Sports news around players and their lives.
Assist the SEO team with daily and weekly data analysis (sourcing, cleaning, top-level analysis).
Take ownership and be responsible for assigned tasks and duties.
Conduct competitive research for multiple sports sections.
Basic knowledge of how websites work.
Knowledge of MLB, MMA/Boxing, Olympics, and entertainment space.
Excellent communication skills with a stronghold in written and spoken English.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.

The Opportunity

Role: Internship

Key Responsibilities

Assisting the SEO team in executing on-page Strategies by optimizing the content on the website.
Curiosity, problem-solving, and the willingness to learn new tasks as they arise.
Well-versed with either Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, with the ability to apply pivot tables, filters, and vlookup.
Should be able to work with google trends and share meaningful and relevant trends/topics with the content team to form articles
Stay upto date with the US Sports news around players and their lives to track important news
Assist the SEO team with daily, and weekly analysis for various sports in the following ways: sourcing data, cleaning data, and top-level data analysis. Tools: MS Excel, G-Sheets
Takes ownership and is responsible for the tasks, or duties provided.
Competitive Research for multiple sports sections.
