Job Summary

As a SOC Engineer, you play a crucial role in enabling numerous live broadcasts from our Service Operations Center in Hilversum. You will work with a dedicated technical team, supporting operational colleagues daily. You act as the link between operations and technology, quickly analyzing and resolving malfunctions, and contributing to system improvements. You will optimize systems and installations with other engineers to ensure smooth operations.

Must Have

  • Provide second-line IT and broadcast support, including operational shifts.
  • Analyze and resolve network, signal distribution, and AV equipment malfunctions.
  • Coordinate communication between production teams, operators, and technicians during incidents.
  • Ensure proactive system management, fault prevention, hardware maintenance, and documentation.
  • Contribute to optimization and support periodic datacenter maintenance.
  • Possess a passion for technology and a drive for continuous learning.
  • Collaborate effectively and demonstrate strong communication skills.
  • Have strong proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • Handle hectic situations and prioritize effectively.
  • Have experience in IT broadcast installations.
  • Be willing to work flexible hours, including weekend shifts.
  • Exhibit positivity and perseverance.

As a SOC Engineer, you play a key role in enabling countless live broadcasts. From our Service Operations Center in Hilversum, you work together with a dedicated technical team and daily support our operational colleagues. You are the link between operation and technology: you are quick to analyze malfunctions, resolve them effectively, and also contribute to improvements. Together with our Engineers, you ensure optimizations in systems and installations, so that operations run smoothly and everyone can work with pleasure.

What will you do?

  • Providing second-line IT and broadcast support to control rooms, production centers, and our own Livecentre, including work in operational shifts;
  • Analyzing and resolving malfunctions in the areas of network, signal distribution, and AV equipment;
  • Coordinating communication between production teams, operators, and technicians during incidents and projects, with escalation when necessary;
  • Ensuring proactive management of systems and processes, from fault prevention to hardware maintenance and detailed documentation;
  • Contributing to optimization and supporting periodic maintenance in our data centers;

Who are we looking for?

  • You are someone with a passion for technology and a continuous drive to expand knowledge;

  • You have strong language proficiency in Dutch and English.
  • You can handle hectic situations well and always set the right priorities;
  • You have experience in IT broadcast installations;
