Job Summary
Intel is seeking a Smart City Solution Engineer to develop and optimize AI and security solutions for critical urban infrastructure. This role involves providing expert technical support for Intel's Metro AI Suite, CPUs, and full-stack systems, optimizing AI workloads using OpenVINO, and building secure solutions with secure I/O, containers, and storage. The engineer will also create compelling demos and technical documentation to empower developers and partners, contributing to safer, smarter, and more human-centric cities.
Must Have
- Serve as the primary engineering interface, providing expert support for Metro AI Suite, CPUs, and full-stack systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and guide customers to success.
- Optimize AI workloads using OpenVINO and techniques like NNCF, POT, and Pruning.
- Develop and demonstrate cutting-edge security solutions featuring secure I/O, containers, and storage.
- Package security solutions as reference implementations.
- Design and build captivating demos for global industry events and customer meetings.
- Create vital technical documents and video tutorials.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 3+ years of experience in a hands-on engineering or solutions role.
- Deep understanding of AI training methods, Deep Learning/Machine Learning (DL/ML) principles, and Python for DL/ML applications.
- Hands-on experience with DL frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and the Intel OpenVINO Toolkit.
- Experience with OpenVINO optimization techniques (NNCF, POT, Pruning) and building video analytic pipelines.
- Knowledge of Intel security technologies for applications, I/O, boot, and storage.
- Practical experience with container/microservices architecture (e.g., Docker), virtual machine technologies, and open-source development (GitHub).
- Basic programming experience in C++ and/or Python.
- Experience with multimedia frameworks such as FFmpeg, GStreamer, Intel Media SDK, or oneVPL.
- Experience performing validation and User Acceptance Tests (UAT).
Good to Have
- Understanding of 5G basics and edge computing platforms like Smart Edge Open.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
