Job Description

ChillBase studio is seeking an SMM Lead to join their independent gaming company, focused on crafting outstanding products like the mobile open-world MMO OneState. The role involves developing and implementing social media strategy, building and leading the SMM department, engaging with the gaming community, creating platform-native content, managing promotional campaigns, fostering user-generated content, and optimizing the SMM pipeline for efficiency and scalability.
Must Have:
  • Deep knowledge of gaming culture and communities
  • Proven track record of successful social media campaigns with measurable impact on growth, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Expertise in creating engaging, platform-native content with viral potential across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Discord, YouTube, etc
  • Hands-on experience with content strategy, analytics tools, and scheduling platforms
  • Ability to produce content end-to-end, including copywriting, basic visuals, and editing
  • Confident working with UGC, from sourcing and rights clearance to publishing and community amplification
  • Fluent English
  • Strong cultural radar to follow trends, memes, and incorporate them into brand-aligned content strategy
  • Refined visual taste and brand sensitivity aligned with the studio’s identity

Together, we are building OneState, a mobile open-world MMO on Unity. Our Art team has established AAA process for developing lifelike graphics, with extensive use of advanced Art-Tech tools: splat masks, vertex painting, procedural generation, as well as various shaders. Expectations

What we want to see:

  • 4+ years of experience as a Social Media Manager, ideally in the gaming or entertainment industry
  • Deep knowledge of gaming culture and communities — you’re not just familiar with the space, you’re an active gamer yourself
  • Proven track record of successful social media campaigns with measurable impact on growth, engagement, and brand awareness
  • Expertise in creating engaging, platform-native content with viral potential across TikTok, Instagram, X (Twitter), Discord, YouTube, etc
  • Hands-on experience with content strategy, analytics tools, and scheduling platforms
  • Ability to produce content end-to-end, including copywriting, basic visuals, and editing — and also collaborate effectively via clear briefs and contractor management
  • Confident working with UGC — from sourcing and rights clearance to publishing and community amplification
  • Fluent English
  • Strong cultural radar — you actively follow trends, memes, and know how to incorporate them into a smart, brand-aligned content strategy
  • Refined visual taste and brand sensitivity — you understand what looks good and what aligns with the studio’s identity

What you will be doing:

  • Develop and implement the overall social media strategy to strengthen the brand’s presence and voice
  • Build and lead the SMM department — hiring, mentoring, and managing the team
  • Closely engage with the gaming community to foster authentic connections and feedback loops
  • Create content for social media platforms, ensuring alignment with brand tone and goals
  • Launch and manage promotional campaigns for specific game updates and releases
  • Encourage and grow user-generated content across our platforms
  • Explore and test new social platforms and tools to identify growth opportunities
  • Optimize and reorganize the SMM pipeline for efficiency and scalability
