Highspot is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join a collaborative team focused on building the next generation of intelligent features for their platform. The role involves working on real-world projects, learning from experienced mentors, and contributing to scalable systems. This position is ideal for early-career engineers eager to learn, solve problems, and build great software. Responsibilities include collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists; writing clean, maintainable code in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript; applying software engineering best practices; building tools for intelligent content discovery, recommendations, and analytics; and participating in code reviews and design discussions.
Must have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design)
- Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, JavaScript)
- Interest in data-driven systems, machine learning, or web development
- Collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies

As a Software Development Engineer , you’ll join a collaborative team focused on building the next generation of intelligent features that power the Highspot platform. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to design and build software features
- Write clean, maintainable code in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Learn and apply software engineering best practices in testing, deployment, and monitoring
- Help build tools and systems that support intelligent content discovery, recommendations, and analytics
- Participate in team code reviews, design discussions, and continuous learning opportunities
Your Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Strong grasp of programming fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, object-oriented design)
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript)
- Interest in data-driven systems, machine learning concepts, or scalable web development
- A collaborative mindset and clear communication skills
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and growing your skills in a supportive team environment
Base salary range: $88,000 - $108,000. Employees are eligible to receive stock options and may also receive other forms of compensation.
The above represents total expected compensation for this role. Actual compensation will depend on various job-related factors, including, but not limited to, location, experience, and job qualifications.
