Join the CoreDisplay I/O Quality Engineering team to ensure the highest quality for display technologies, including built-in and external display support like HDMI and DisplayPort, across all Apple products. This role involves designing, developing, and owning automated tests, managing test environments, and triaging results for unreleased prototypes. The successful candidate will drive test planning, execution, and quality reporting, working with cross-functional teams to deliver new products and software releases at the highest quality. Excellent communication, problem-solving skills, and a technical, creative, and results-driven approach are essential.
Good To Have:
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives and drive improvements in the processes and workflows for software development and validation
  • Experience in defining test validation strategies and developing comprehensive test plans for firmware and driver validation
  • Strong Objective Oriented Programming skills, preferably in Python
  • Expertise in test automation, including designing and implementing automated test frameworks
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering or Software Development
  • Experience in working in DevOps: CI/CD systems, Automated Lab Management at scale
  • Familiarity with Display Technologies such as DisplayPort or HDMI
  • Experience using Protocol Analyzers
Must Have:
  • Strong understanding of OS fundamentals and software validation methodologies
  • Programming experience with C, Python and Shell scripting
  • Proven ability to ramp up quickly on both new and existing technologies
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field

The CoreDisplay I/O Quality Engineering team is responsible for validating display technologies, consisting of built-in and external display support, including HDMI and DisplayPort, across all product families. This is a highly entrepreneurial team, always looking for innovative ways to improve status quo and solve difficult problems in new and better ways. We are looking for someone who can lead the charge on quality of various display technologies. Successful candidate will need to work with cross-functional teams to proactively develop and drive overall test planning, execution and quality reporting for various areas of responsibility. The nature of the position requires the candidate to possess excellent communication and problem solving skills, along with a drive to make a difference. The ideal candidate will be highly technical, creative, motivated, and results driven.

As a Software Developer in Test on the CoreDisplay I/O Quality Engineering team you will design, develop, and own automated tests, including test environment and systems deployments, for validating display technologies across all of Apple’s product families; including unreleased prototypes. You will help with triaging test results and investigating issues spanning across hardware and software interaction layers to ensure new products and future software releases are delivered at the highest quality.

Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $126,800 and $190,900, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
