Job Summary

CSG is expanding its teams in Brazil to deliver new features for its cloud-based digital BSS Ascendon Platform. They seek a Software Development Engineer Lead capable of building scalable, maintainable, enterprise-grade products with a pragmatic approach to high-quality software. The role involves building highly available, resilient systems, continuous improvement through automation, resolving complex engineering problems, supporting customer-facing environments, and mentoring junior team members while participating in quality procedures.

Must Have

Build highly available, scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems
Continuously improve assigned areas by applying scripting, automation, or application packaging
Resolve complex engineering problems
Support the platform in customer-facing environments, including troubleshooting issues and monitoring the system
Be able to mentor and guide junior team members
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or technically related field, or equivalent professional experience
8+ years of experience in software development and software support/maintenance
Experience in C#, .NET, SQL querying, schema design, Web Services, REST, xUnit, and ASP.NET Core
Serverless microservice architecture exposure (e.g. Fargate/Lambda)
Experience with cloud providers, such as Amazon Web Services
Infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform preferred)
Relational and non-relational database experience (e.g. DynamoDB)
Experience integrating with external APIs
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD processes
Proficiency with AI technologies and their application in software development
The ability to support on-call rotation

We are looking for someone who has demonstrated their ability to build scalable, maintainable, enterprise-grade products as well as forward thinkers and technology enthusiasts who have a pragmatic approach to delivering high quality software.

We are looking for Software Development Engineer Lead who will:

Build highly available, scalable, resilient, and maintainable systems
Continuously improve assigned areas by applying scripting, automation, or application packaging
Resolve complex engineering problems
Support the platform in customer-facing environments, including troubleshooting issues and monitoring the system
Be willing to learn from and coach those around you
Demonstrate a strong work ethic, a commitment to excellent customer service and teamwork
Participate in code reviews, design reviews, or other forms of team quality procedures
Be able to mentor and guide junior team members
