This Role

We’re looking for engineers who want to solve high-impact problems with urgency, ownership, and care. Legal work is full of repetitive tasks, paper-based bottlenecks, and data fragmentation. Your job will be to help us turn that chaos into clarity—using well-designed systems, AI, and thoughtful software. You’ll build fast, ship often, and partner closely with product, ops, and design. Expect to own critical features end-to-end, from architecture through release—and to move quickly without sacrificing quality.

You Will:

• Own Major Features: Design, build, and ship production-grade systems across our core workflows
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner with product, ops, design, and legal experts to define and deliver real-world impact
• Move Fast, Safely: Build in safety, observability, and performance from the start
• Help Set the Standard: Influence our engineering culture, stack, and practices from the ground up
• Work Onsite: Join us in-person 4 days/week in NYC for high-context, fast-moving collaboration

You Might Be a Fit if You:

• Have 3+ years of experience building reliable, secure software in production
• Are comfortable working full-stack (we use Python/Django, React, AWS, OpenAI & more)
• Write clean, maintainable code—and care about testing, observability, and performance
• Thrive in ambiguous environments and take pride in figuring things out
• Want to work on real problems that affect real people
• Care as much about product outcomes as you do about technical decisions

Compensation

$160,000 - $250,000 annual salary + generous equity
