This Strategy & Operations Lead role is crucial for scaling Finch's operational backbone, ensuring systems, workflows, and structures are resilient, efficient, and high-quality. The role involves shaping operational strategy, partnering with product and engineering, and coaching a team to manage increasing complexity while maintaining speed and client care.
Must Have
- Work directly with the founders and senior leaders at Finch
- Set the operational strategy and roadmap for scaling workflows, tooling, and team structures
- Design cross-functional systems that drive alignment, quality and performance
- Partner with product and engineering to shape scalable, tech-enabled workflows
- Identify and prioritize high-leverage operational improvements across departments
- Develop and coach a group of experienced operators
- 3-5+ years in a problem-solving role (e.g., consulting, BizOps, Strategy, Tech)
- Experience building zero-to-one systems or teams
- Ability to navigate ambiguity and operate with urgency
- Capability to define strategy and dive deep to execute
- Deep care about client experience and operational excellence

This Role
- As Finch scales, our operational backbone must scale with it. This role takes a broad, cross-functional view of how work moves through the company—across firms, internal teams, and product surfaces—and ensures that our systems, workflows, and structures grow in a way that is resilient, efficient, and high-quality.
- You’ll shape the strategy for how operations evolve across the business, partnering with leaders in product, engineering, legal ops, and firm experience to design systems that can handle increasing complexity without sacrificing speed or client care.
- You’ll grow and coach a team of customer-centric and high velocity operators, with the goal of helping each member scale the ground beneath their feet. The heart of this role is systems thinking: understanding how Finch works, where it doesn’t, and building systems to help maintain quality as we continue to scale exponentially.
You Will:
- Work directly with the founders and senior leaders at Finch
- Set the operational strategy and roadmap for scaling workflows, tooling, and team structures across Case Workflow, Legal Ops Experience, and Firm Experience.
- Design cross-functional systems that drive alignment, quality and performance across teams.
- Partner with product and engineering to shape scalable, tech-enabled workflows that reduce friction as volumes grow.
- Identify and prioritize high-leverage operational improvements across departments, balancing short-term needs with long-term scalability.
- Develop and coach a group of experienced operators to scale as Finch inflects.
Your Team: Strategy & Operations
S&O at Finch is the tip of the spear: we identify the most important problems and opportunities for growth, and solve them fast. We own playbooks, workflows, and experiments that move the business forward. You’ll work cross-functionally with Legal Ops, Product & Engineering, and Growth to deliver 10x improvements for our attorney partners, their clients, and our internal teams.
