Software Engineer II (Backend) - Cloud SOAR, CyberSecurity

Sumo Logic is seeking a Software Engineer II (Backend) for their Cloud SOAR, CyberSecurity team in Bengaluru, India. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance, scalable cloud services, collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring service quality, and participating in code reviews. Candidates should have 2+ years of hands-on experience, a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and proficiency in cloud technologies and programming languages.

Must Have

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable cloud services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of services
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
• Mentor junior engineers and help them grow their technical skills
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering
• Working experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficiency in programming languages (Scala, Java, Python, Go, etc.)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: 2+ years of hands-on experience in software engineering,
• Technical Skills: Working experience in cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), programming languages (any of Scala, Java, Python, Go, etc.).
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality solutions.
• Agile Development: Experience with Agile development methodologies and practices.
• Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
