Senior Analyst, Software Developer – Backend

Nasdaq Technology is seeking a passionate Software Developer for its Bangalore technology center. This role focuses on backend architecture enhancements and optimizations, contributing to feature development, third-party data integrations, and platform security. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and maintainable systems for a financial services web platform supporting stock market research and data analytics.

Must Have

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java-based microservices.
• Integrate new third-party data sources into the platform, ensuring reliability and performance.
• Participate in language modernization and dependency version upgrades across backend systems.
• Implement backend security best practices, including secure API design, data protection, and vulnerability mitigation.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure seamless data exchange and API compatibility.
• Work closely with QA, infrastructure, and data teams to support platform stability and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline development and infrastructure automation.
• 4+ years in backend software development.
• Proficiency in Java, Java-based microservices, RESTful API design.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, AWS (cloud-native services).
• Familiarity with Git, Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence).
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD orchestration tools, Shell scripting, and Bash.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices and backend security principles.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration across teams.

Good to Have

• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
• Exposure to observability and performance monitoring tools.
• Awareness of AI-assisted development tools.

Join the Nasdaq Dorsey Wright Platform Extensions team, which focuses on enhancing and modernizing backend architecture for our financial services web platform supporting stock market research and data analytics.

Role Responsibilities -

As a Software Developer, your focus is developing and implementing backend software solutions. Besides working closely with your colleagues in Bangalore, you will also work closely with Nasdaq teams in other countries.

Experience Level

• 4+ years in backend software development
