Job Description

Apple is seeking a Software Engineer for the Enterprise and Education Technologies team to develop solutions enhancing learning and business experiences. This role involves building software to improve Apple device usage in education and enterprise, collaborating with experienced engineers to manage classroom devices and deploy thousands of devices at scale. The ideal candidate will contribute to new features and improve existing applications, making a meaningful impact on technology in education and business.
Must have:
  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack applications for iOS and macOS platforms.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to evaluate and prioritize new feature requirements.
  • Collaborate with design teams to propose and refine user interface elements that enhance the overall user experience.
  • Drive code reviews, ensuring that all code is thoroughly tested, well-documented, and aligns with Apple’s standards.
  • Build and maintain tooling to facilitate automated testing, ensuring that all software meets Apple’s standards of reliability and performance.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, providing technical leadership and helping to foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Bachelor of Computer Science or equivalent experience developing apps or building frameworks.
  • Significant experience developing feature rich platform native mobile or desktop applications.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Significant experience developing feature rich apps for iOS or macOS.
  • Advanced knowledge of macOS, iOS, and iPadOS design principles and guidelines.
  • Expertise in architecting software to support unit testing, UI testing, and/or integration testing.

We are seeking an exceptional Software Engineer with a proven track record in mobile and desktop app development for iOS and macOS. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Objective-C and Swift, a deep understanding of Apple’s ecosystem, and a strong passion for delivering high-quality software. You’ll work alongside a team of dedicated engineers to deliver high-quality software, contributing to new features and improving existing applications.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $147,400 and $272,100, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. You’ll also receive benefits including: Comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, a range of discounted products and free services, and for formal education related to advancing your career at Apple, reimbursement for certain educational expenses — including tuition.
