Job Description

As one of Augment's first engineering interns, you will work directly with the founders to own large pieces of our engineering infrastructure. This role involves building new products, features, and integrations, designing robust systems to support high-value trading, and improving technical architecture, infrastructure, security, tools, testing, and code quality. We are looking for a driven individual with a get-it-done mentality to bring our product to life.
Good To Have:
  • Written tens of thousands of lines of code in a modern language (Go, React.js, Python, Scala)
  • Familiar with the public cloud (AWS, GCP)
  • Solid understanding of relational databases (MySQL)
  • Played around with serverless technologies (AWS Lambda)
  • Interested in fintech & marketplaces
Must Have:
  • Build out new products, features, and integrations

🏭 Our engineering stack & processes:

  • Frontend: React.js
  • Backend: Go, Bash, Python
  • Infrastructure: AWS, Lambda, S3, CloudFront, MySQL
  • Tons of integrations like SendGrid, Twilio, and 3rd-party data providers
  • Code reviews
  • Continuous integration & automated deployment (multiple times per day)

πŸ„β€β™‚οΈ Logistics:

  • Work out of our startup house in Austin, TX at least 1 week/month (100% in-person preferred)
  • 12-16 week internship at any season
  • Potential for a return offer to join us full time

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $30 - $50 hourly.

The pay offered for this position may vary based on several individual factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may also include additional components/benefits depending on the specific role. This information will be shared if an employment offer is extended.
