Job Summary

As Augment’s first full-time designer, you’ll work directly within the product team to shape the look, feel, and usability of our product. From high-level product strategy to pixel-level detail, you’ll own design at Augment. We’re looking for a creative problem-solver with a sharp eye for detail, a strong product sense, and the ability to turn ideas into intuitive, polished experiences. “Taste” is key.

Must Have

  • Own design across product and brand: from wireframes and prototypes to final visual assets.
  • Lead end-to-end product design in Figma: user flows, information architecture, components, design systems, and high-fidelity UI.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to materialize features from idea to launch.
  • Create and maintain Augment’s design system for consistency across product and brand.
  • Conduct user research and translate feedback into product improvements.
  • Help shape Augment’s culture and design standards as the first full-time designer.

Good to Have

  • Design marketing assets, graphics, and visuals in Canva/Figma to support growth and brand initiatives.
  • Experience working with early-stage startups or fintech/marketplace products.

🧑‍💻 You will:

  • Own design across product and brand: from wireframes and prototypes to final visual assets.
  • Lead end-to-end product design in Figma: user flows, information architecture, components, design systems, and high-fidelity UI.

🧑‍🔬 You'd fit in well if you:

  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and building from scratch as we drive new initiatives from zero to one.
  • Love building clean, intuitive, and modern user experiences that lead to moments of gratification for users.
  • Can move fast and adapt in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
  • Are equally comfortable thinking through product flows and fine-tuning visual polish.
  • Care about details, but know when to prioritize speed over perfection.

👨‍🔧 Skills we love:

  • Expert proficiency in Figma (components, prototypes, design systems).
  • Experience designing for web and mobile applications.
  • Understanding of our customers to create a great UX.
  • Strong grasp of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
  • Familiarity with user testing and incorporating feedback into design.
