Adtran seeks an outstanding Engineer to work on its exciting Cloud-based Software-as-a-Service platform. Intellifi® MeshView is a flexible SaaS software that enables service providers to manage, optimize and monetize with insights and revenue-generating tools to create differentiated services, capture new subscribers and increase ARPU and ROI. Intellifi® MeshView is a component of Intellifi®, Adtran’s complete connected home solution purpose-built for CSPs. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing and continually improving our product using new technologies and best agile practices, and will work closely with other engineers and stakeholders to ensure the product meets the needs of our customers.

You will be a member of a full-stack team responsible for designing, analysing requirements, developing, implementing, testing, debugging, and maintaining software solutions for Intellifi® MeshView, including but not limited to the following:  application development, system software architecture, software test development, and customer assistance. Requires ability to perform engineering tasks for a major project or for projects of moderate complexity with limited direction.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform or assist in high-level and low-level software design and implementation of new features and enhancements to existing software.  

• Perform or assist in feasibility studies of needed software development.  

• Document the design including features definition and architecture.  

• Conduct and participate in design reviews and code reviews.

• Plan and perform unit, acceptance and end-to-end level testing of implemented software modules and enhancements.

• Help fix software bugs found during all testing phases.

• Work with the team to deploy and test incremental software releases.

• Organize and coordinate development activities within schedule and product constraints.

• Other projects and assignments may result and be assigned to accommodate the changing needs of the department and the Company. 

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Information Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent education required. 

• At least 4 years of active professional experience.

• Proven professional experience with software design, implementation and debugging. 

• A solid foundation in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software engineering.

• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Typescript).

• Experience with at least one modern test frameworks (pyTest, Selenium, Cypress).

• Strong ownership attitude and willingness to drive feature development, integration, and QA efforts.

• At least B2 English proficiency level.

• Excellent teamwork abilities and effectiveness in cross-site communication.

• A willingness to break technological barriers and constantly strive for perfection.

Preferred Qualifications (to the above)

• Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services and cloud deployments, including the serverless backends.

• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and practices.

• Good understanding of the Software-as-a-Service platform development with a high release pace.

• Experience in developing in containerized applications (Docker or equivalent).

• Experience in the networking aspects (e.g. Wi-Fi).

• Maturity in documenting code and product functionalities.
