Software Engineering Manager

The Software Engineering Manager will join the Global Payments and Risk team at eBay, focusing on integrating groundbreaking technologies to solve real-world problems and improve user experiences. This role involves leading and driving execution for a cross-geo engineering team, providing mentorship, and fostering a collaborative environment to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. The manager will also take ownership of team deliverables, manage backlog prioritization, and collaborate with product managers to innovate next-generation products.

Must Have

• Manage and prioritize the backlog, aligning with team goals
• Collaborate multi-functionally with product managers and business units
• Experience in driving execution and acting as a lead in high-velocity environments
• Strong communication skills
• Expertise in building large-scale distributed systems with a focus on high availability, scalability, and resilience
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or similar languages
• 6-8 years of professional experience, including 2+ years as a technical team manager
