Software Engineering Program Manager, System Experience

Apple is seeking a Software Engineering Program Manager to innovate and enhance its advanced operating systems. This role involves partnering with software engineers and managers across the Software Engineering team to define, schedule, and track work for both the team and multi-functional initiatives. The manager will act as a central hub, coordinating various teams including Software, Hardware, and Design, to deliver groundbreaking technology across all Apple operating systems. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating impactful features and solving challenging problems in a dynamic environment.

Must Have

• 5+ years experience as a technical software Project or Program Manager
• Experience delivering customer-facing software features or projects from concept through delivery
• Prior iOS, iPadOS, or macOS experience
• Strong understanding of and experience in managing complex, cross-functional software projects with user facing UI
• Strong technical understanding of operating systems and how the various layers in the software stack fit together

• Project management experience in software development lifecycle
• Excellent spoken and written communication with the ability to tailor communication style to multiple audiences
• Proven track record in defining processes and executing on them
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $141,800 and $258,600, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
