Job Description

Huuuge Games is seeking a Software Engineering Team Lead to establish a foundational engineering team in Poland for their biggest title. This critical role involves influencing core technology and engineering culture, driving technical vision, and solving high-impact challenges for a global player base. The lead will mentor engineers, design scalable game components, collaborate with stakeholders, and champion best practices to deliver high-quality features on schedule.
Good To Have:
  • Strong practical experience with more than one game engine like Godot, Unreal Engine, Unity, Amazon Lumberyard or proprietary engines.
  • Experience with the challenges of a live-service game, including backend infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and live ops support.
  • A background that touches on other game development disciplines, like technical art, game design or data analytics.
Must Have:
  • Lead, mentor, and empower a talented team of engineers.
  • Drive the technical vision and architectural design for key game components.
  • Partner closely with producers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
  • Act as a crucial bridge between engineering and other disciplines.
  • Champion and implement engineering best practices.
  • Solve our most complex technical challenges, unblock your team.
  • Extensive professional experience, 5-7+ years in software engineering, with at least 2+ years in a mentorship or lead engineer role.
  • Deep expertise in modern C++ with a strong grasp of software architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization.
  • A proven track record of shipping games, having played a key role in the development and launch of at least one commercial title on PC, console, or mobile.
  • A passion for mentoring and developing engineers, with demonstrable experience in conducting code reviews, providing constructive feedback, and helping others grow their skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Practical experience with game engines.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
