MetalBear is seeking its first Solutions Engineer in the APAC region to build and lead a customer-facing function. This remote-first, seed-stage startup, backed by top-tier VCs, is scaling rapidly. The role involves owning the entire customer journey, from technical evaluations and POCs to production deployments, while collaborating with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape the product roadmap and customer experience for mirrord users.
Good To Have:
  • Experience in quota-carrying pre-sales or customer success roles in developer tools or cloud infrastructure.
Must Have:
  • Own end-to-end technical engagement, including demos, POCs, architecture, and deployments.
  • Lead customer onboarding and ensure long-term success with mirrord adoption.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, troubleshooting issues and providing cloud-native best practices.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape offerings and roadmap.
  • Build scalable playbooks, documentation, and processes for regional growth.
  • Relay customer insights and feedback to delight developers.
  • 3+ years in high-performance startups or hyper-growth companies.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, Kubernetes, microservices.
  • Ability to confidently read and write code.
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles (Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, Pre-Sales).
  • Self-starter thriving in fast-moving environments with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with stakeholders.
  • Execution-focused, organized, and able to juggle priorities.

MetalBear is looking for an exceptional generalist to join as our first Solutions Engineer in the APAC region. As MetalBear’s first APAC Solutions Engineer, you will own the entire customer journey — from first touch to long-term success. You’ll lead technical evaluations, Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), and production deployments, while building deep relationships with customers and feeding real-world insights back into our product roadmap.

🚀 What You’ll Do

  • Own end-to-end technical engagement — run demos, guide Proof-of-Concepts (POCs), advise on architecture, and support smooth deployments.
  • Lead onboarding & long-term success — ensure customers adopt mirrord effectively and realize continuous value.
  • Act as a trusted advisor — deeply understand customer needs, troubleshoot technical issues, and provide best practices for cloud-native environments.
  • Partner cross-functionally — work closely with Sales, Product, and Engineering to shape our offering and influence roadmap priorities.
  • Build from zero to one — create scalable playbooks, documentation, and processes to support rapid growth across the region.
  • Be the Voice of the Customer — relay insights and feedback to help us iterate fast and keep developers delighted.

Requirements

🔧 What We’re Looking For

  • 3+ years in high-performance environments (startups, scale-ups, or hyper-growth companies).
  • Technical fluency: Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure, modern infrastructure (Kubernetes, microservices), and ability to read/write code confidently.
  • Proven (or high potential) experience in customer-facing technical roles — Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, or Pre-Sales.
  • Self-starter mentality: Thrives in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with minimal oversight.
  • Excellent communication & relationship-building skills — comfortable with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Execution-focused: Organized, detail-oriented, and able to juggle tactical and strategic priorities.
  • Bonus: Experience in quota-carrying pre-sales or customer success roles in developer tools or cloud infrastructure.
