The Toppan Merrill Solution Sales Engineer supports the sales organization by providing enterprise-level software and services solutions to clients. This role involves delivering technical sales presentations, explaining product capabilities, identifying innovative solutions, and researching competitive offerings. The engineer acts as a technical resource in sales cycles, gathers client requirements, and collaborates with product, engineering, marketing, and finance teams to drive revenue and enhance product offerings. They also contribute to RFP responses and mentor junior staff.
Must Have:- Provide technical sales support throughout the sales cycle to drive opportunities and revenue.
- Deliver and customize technical sales presentations on Toppan Merrill products and services.
- Explain product capabilities, limitations, and implementation requirements.
- Actively participate in sales calls involving complex technical requirements.
- Identify and develop innovative solutions to client requirements.
- Research, compose, and deliver responses to RFPs.
- Collect business and technical information from clients regarding requirements.
- Partner with Product and Engineering teams on integrating into Toppan Merrill’s product offerings.
- 7-12 years experience in a direct client contact and consulting role preferably in technology services.
- Excellent verbal and written communication/interpersonal skills.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- Pro-active ability to anticipate client needs and problem solve solutions.
- Demonstrated project management experience with a high level of attention to detail.
- Strong technical aptitude.
- Detailed knowledge of best practices for industry (i.e accounting, financial disclosures, healthcare, etc).
- Working knowledge of commonly used software in the industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
