A sound designer is responsible for creating and integrating high-quality audio assets and all types of sounds for our game project.
The daily life of a Sound designer at Lanterns:
- Sound design assets and implement sound effects and music in-game.
- Record, edit, mix, music, SFX, dialogues and implement sound assets in the game (UE).
- Field record new sounds as needed.
- Play the game regularly and continually identify opportunities to improve audio quality.
- Collaborate with the Design, Art, and Engineering teams to create and refine the overall audio experience of the game.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Job skills
What it takes to make it:
- A self-motivated individual who works well when left on his/her own.
- Mastery of audio and music production and editing tools.
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine and middlewares like Wwise and Fmod are huge plus.
- Solid sound design and implementation skills.
- Independent, organized and proactive, you have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work in a team.
- Extremely adaptable, especially in terms of quality and time constraints, with a precise attention to detail.
Additional required skills:
- Good organization and time management skills, deadline oriented.
- Excellent communication skills (spoken and written) able to help others and ask for help when needed. Being proactive in sharing info and assets.
- Considerable understanding of video games culture.
- Self-motivated and agile, being flexible with new ideas, being open to direction and changes. Listening to teammates.
