We are seeking a seasoned Sound Designer to help us shape the bases of multiple sound assets that will ultimately enhance player immersion and engagement in our exciting new IP from The Bird that Drinks Tears Korean novels. Working closely with the Audio Director to deliver unique audio content complementing gameplay and storytelling.
Must have:
  • Design unique audio assets for targeted game features, characters & world settings, based on specific in-game playback formats.
  • Create exploratory soundscapes highlighting described themes, narrative settings & moods based on provided concept art material.
  • May involve assets implementation in current game pipelines (Wwise solution, UE project).
Good to have:
  • Experience with AAA games

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Sound Designer to help us shape the bases of multiple sound assets that will ultimately enhance player immersion and engagement in our exciting new IP from The Bird that Drinks Tears Korean novels. Working closely with the Audio Director to deliver unique audio content complementing gameplay and storytelling.

Mandate:

  • Design unique audio assets for targeted game features, characters & world settings, based on specific in-game playback formats (interactive mechanics, linear events, multi-layered data-structures).
  • Based on provided concept art material of environments & characters, create exploratory soundscapes highlighting the described themes, narrative settings & moods.
  • May involve assets implementation in our current game pipelines (Wwise solution, UE project).

Knowledge/Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Audio Production, Music, Sound Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Sound Designer in the video game industry for linear & systemic mediums, with a strong portfolio showcasing your sound design work.
  • Proficiency in industry-standard audio software and tools (Pro Tools, Reaper, creative VST’s & hardware).
  • Knowledge of audio implementation formats & asset structures for game pipelines (Wwise, Unreal Engine).
  • Experience with a AAA game is considered an asset
  • A passion for creating memorable and immersive audio experiences for players.
