Whiteboard Games is looking for a Semi-Senior Sound Designer to create sound effects and ambient sounds for a next-gen videogame. Responsibilities include creating sound effects for the game, implementing audio assets in-game, identifying audio needs, working with other artists, estimating tasks, and participating in weekly planning meetings. The role requires an updated portfolio, experience with the Unity Game Engine, knowledge of audio theory, and proficiency in sound editing software such as FMOD and FL Studio. The position is remote and requires the use of Discord voice calls while working.

Whiteboard Games is looking for Semi-Senior Sound Designers from Argentina to join the production of a next-gen (PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series S/X) videogame title.

Responsibilities:

  • Create ambient background sounds, user interface sounds and general SFX to build a believable and compelling environment.
  • Evaluate and carry out the implementation of audio assets in-game, adjusted to gameplay needs.
  • Identify opportunities and audio needs across all areas of the game.
  • Work as a team with other artists and professionals from various areas.
  • Estimate tasks while taking into account dependencies and possible delays.
  • Participate in weekly planning meetings (Sprints).

Requirements to apply:

  • Updated portfolio, to be presented as part of the postulation.
  • Experience working with the Unity Game Engine.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of audio theory and audio production for software development.
  • Knowledge and control of Digital Audio Workstations or sound editing software, like FMOD and FL Studio.
  • Ability to troubleshoot audio issues, as well as optimize new and existing audio assets.
  • Experience working in published videogames.
  • Be an Argentine citizen.
  • Native level of Spanish.
