3D Character Artist

Whiteboard Games is looking for Semi-Senior or Senior Character Artists from Argentina to join the production of a next-gen (PC, PlayStation 5, XBOX Series S/X) videogame title.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and iterate 2D concept art proposals that can then serve as inspiration and be translated to final 3D characters.
• Create 3D models of characters, ready to be animated.
• Texturize the models created.
• Build and adapt to visual/artistic styles of different projects.
• Work as a team with other artists and professionals from various areas.
• Estimate tasks while taking into account possible delays.
• Participate in weekly planning and feedback meetings (Sprints).

Requirements to apply:

• Updated portfolio, to be presented as part of the postulation.
• Good drawing and conceptualization skills.
• Knowledge of rigging and skinning of 3D characters.
• Autonomy to quickly and effectively gather references for concept art.
• Good control and knowledge of illustration software.
• Expert knowledge of 3D modeling software for videogames (3DS Max, Blender, Maya, etc.).
• Knowledge of light, color, composition, anatomy and mood to define or adapt to the project’s artstyle.
• Ability to adapt to different techniques and/or styles.
• Ability to texturize models and knowledge of related software (Substance Painter).
• Experience working in published videogames.
• Be an Argentine citizen.
• Native level of Spanish.

Bonus:

• Control and knowledge of the Unity engine to import and adjust materials of the models.
• Show interest in the creation of new videogames.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Good time management skills.
• Intermediate level of English or higher.
• Team player.

Work method:

• Remote position. Use of Discord voice call while working.
• Flexible schedule. Use of the Clockify tool to register work hours.
