Job Description

As a Sourcing Specialist at AriensCo, you will lead the discovery and development of new sources, coordinate quoting through initial orders, and transfer to materials leaders/planning teams. Responsibilities include identifying cost reduction opportunities, negotiating contracts, evaluating make vs. buy scenarios, monitoring supplier performance, supporting product teams, and introducing innovations. This position is located in Brillion, WI. The ideal candidate will be a recent college graduate. The role requires a proactive approach to sourcing and supply chain management. The specialist will be responsible for developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring that the company maintains a competitive edge in the market.
Must have:
  • Lead sourcing and development for new suppliers
  • Identify cost reduction opportunities
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers
  • Evaluate make vs. buy scenarios
  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate findings
  • Support supplier interface with product teams
  • Introduce new technology from suppliers
  • Establish purchasing strategy by supplier.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or relevant field of study
Good to have:
  • Previous experience in sourcing, supply chain or buying/procurement
  • CPM certification is preferred

Job Description:

AriensCo is thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Sourcing Specialist! In this dynamic role, you will lead the discovery and development process for potential new sources, coordinate the quoting process through initial orders, and hand off to materials leaders and the planning team. This position is located in Brillion, WI and would be a great role a recent college graduate!

THE DAY TO DAY...

  • Lead the discovery and development process for potential new sources, coordinating the quoting process thru initial orders and handoff to materials leaders/planning team

  • Identify and pursue cost reduction opportunities, including logistical costs, for assigned commodities, as well as leveraging current supply base aggregate purchase volumes from all facilities for lowest applied cost

  • Review bid proposals and contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority. Negotiate contractual terms and conditions with suppliers, including warranty provisions

  • Evaluate current internal costs of production/processes to compare to external suppliers for make vs buy

  • Monitor and communicate existing supplier performance, use in quarterly business reviews, etc.

  • Works closely with and supports appropriate supplier interface with internal product teams

  • Introduce new innovation and technology from current and new suppliers to relevant product development teams

  • Establish purchasing strategy by supplier in coordination with whole goods purchasing team where suppliers are common

  • Establish clear purchasing strategy for suppliers that are supplying replacement parts but no longer a supplier of parts for current production units

THE QUALIFICATIONS...

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or relevant field of study required

  • Previous experience in sourcing, supply chain and/or buying/procurement preferred

  • CPM certified preferred
