Job Summary
S&P Global is seeking an experienced and pragmatic Organizational Planning & Intelligence Consultant to join its People team. This role involves serving as an internal consultant to business leaders, People Partners, and Centers of Excellence to design and implement organizational solutions that enable strategy and accelerate performance. The consultant will lead the development of data-driven and Tech/AI-enabled workforce planning tools, conduct research on the future of work, support internal consulting engagements, build organizational health assessments, and partner with People Data and Analytics to enhance workforce strategy and insights.
Must Have
- Collaborate with OPI team to build consistent frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for organizational planning.
- Product own various tools including Visier Workforce Planning, Visier Org Design and home-grown workforce intelligence dashboard.
- Conduct and integrate research around the future of work at S&P global.
- Support internal consulting engagements to People Partners, Finance Partners, and business stakeholders.
- Build organizational health assessments, skill, and work assessments.
- Deliver analytics and models around skills, roles, and supply‑demand scenarios.
- Partner with People Data and People Analytics to build data and analytics.
- Utilize external benchmarking and research sources to gather and present relevant industry insights.
- Act as an internal workforce planning developer and advisor to divisional People Partners.
- Work closely with People Analytics team to contribute to reports, dashboards, models, and tools.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Organizational Development, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in workforce planning, financial planning, business consultation, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Power BI and DAX for dashboard and report development.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Good to Have
- Some experience in a complex, global organization.
- Experience with data lake tools (e.g. snowflake) and business SaaS tools like Visier, Anaplan, etc.
- Experience in program, transformation, or portfolio management; familiarity with Agile or iterative delivery approaches is a plus.
- Prior experience supporting or working closely with corporate/enterprise functions (e.g., Technology, Finance, Commercial, HR/People, Operations) is an advantage.
- Experience working with both internal teams and external vendors or consultants.

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and pragmatic Organizational Planning & Intelligence Consultant to join S&P Global’s People team. In this role, you will serve as an internal consultant to business leaders, People Partners (HRBPs), and Centers of Excellence to design and implement organizational solutions that enable our strategy and accelerate performance. They will play a critical role in delivering data-driven and Tech/AI-enabled solutions to our leaders and our people. In particular, this role will product lead the building of workforce planning tools and resources that enable leaders to pragmatically plan and execute their business and talent strategies.
Responsibilities and Impact:
Framework Development:
- Collaborate with OPI team to build consistent frameworks, methodologies, and best practices for organizational planning.
- Product own various tools including Visier Workforce Planning, Visier Org Design and home-grown workforce intelligence dashboard
- Ensure these frameworks are integrated and utilized across all business units.
Workforce Strategy:
- Conduct and integrate research around the future of work at S&P global and how we incorporate progressive people practices and programs into our workforce and people team strategy.
- Deliver Executive transformation storytelling inclusive of data-driven insights and best practice research.
Workforce / Organizational Planning
- Support internal consulting engagements to People Partners, Finance Partners, and business stakeholders in achieving their people and financial objectives.
- Build organizational health assessments, skill, and work assessments to understand supply and demand talent challenges.
- Deliver analytics and models around skills, roles, and supply‑demand scenarios to guide build / buy / borrow / automate decisions.
- Collaborate with Org Effectiveness to deliver critical job and work re-design engagements to support business operating model, process re-engineering, and org design plans.
Internal Consulting Services:
- Engage in internal consulting services to People Partners and business stakeholders.
- Address specific organizational challenges by building tailored solutions and strategic advice.
Data & Analytics Partnership:
- Partner with People Data and People Analytics to build data and analytics in support of organizational health and workforce strategy.
- Utilize external benchmarking and research sources to gather and present relevant industry insights relating to workforce planning, translating these into relevant divisional action plans
- Work with relevant 3rd party vendors to scope and manage relevant engagements relating to workforce planning and people analytics as required
- Act as an internal workforce planning developer and advisor to divisional People Partners to translate workforce planning into reality
- Work closely with People Analytics team to contribute to reports, dashboards, models, and tools that enhance the usage of workforce and organizational analytics as well as the integration of benchmarks, workforce planning best practices, and alternative data sets
What We’re Looking For:
