Sr. Manager, Corrections & Removals

In this role you

The Sr. Manager, Corrections & Removals is responsible for reviewing and refining processes for corrective and removal tasks, managing team talent, analyzing KPIs for process improvement, addressing complex challenges innovatively, mentoring subordinates, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in correction and removal activities. The role presides over meetings with senior internal and external product stakeholders to ensure accurate processes for corrective and removal (C&R) tasks. The role refines sub-system feeders to the process and integrates feedback from various sources like complaint handling and regulatory submissions. The role emphasizes talent management across the team, driving employee selection, performance, and career development.

Your role:


• Presides meetings with senior internal and external stakeholders to gather insights and expectations and ensures the development of accurate, precise, and standardized processes for specifying and executing corrective & removal (C&R) tasks.
• Reviews and refines various sub-system feeders to the process, including complaint handling, engineering change orders, kit suppliers, regulatory submissions, and field deployments.
• Manages talent across the team, while driving employee selection, performance management, compensation management, career development, and ensuring effective operational management. Serves as a mentor to subordinates, provides advanced guidance to meet deadlines and address complex technical challenges effectively, and oversees the development and implementation of schedules and performance criteria to ensure project success.
• Directs support for audits and inspections related to C&R requests, aids in strategy development, oversees regulatory inquiry responses, and reviews these responses to ensure compliance with C&R standards.

  • Bachelor's Degree/ Master's Degree in Medical Sciences, Healthcare Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply
    Chain Management or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with Bachelor's OR Minimum 3 years of experience with Master's in areas such as
    Pharma, IVD, Medical Device, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Clinical Research or equivalent.
  • Preferred Skills: Device Recall Procedures, Health and Safety Monitoring, Quality, Management Systems (QMS), Data Analysis & Interpretation, CAPA Methodologies, Continuous Improvement, Budget Management, People Management, KPI Management, Regulatory Compliance, QualityRisk Management, Product Risk Management
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position. 

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Cambridge, MA is $114,000 to $200,000, Annually. 

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.    

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered.  Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.  Details about our benefits can be found here

At Philips, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each case.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Cambridge MA.
