Job Description

In this role, you will act as a Manufacturing Engineer and/or product quality at Suppliers to drive problem solving, first-time right, DFMAT, and process enhancement. Your responsibilities include proactively monitoring product/process quality, acting as a supplier engineering Single Point of Contact for equipment qualification and process validation, assuring quality systems, providing quality oversight of change requests, and serving as an internal and supplier quality auditor.
Must Have:

  • Troubleshoot production/release issues
  • Act as supplier engineering Single Point of Contact
  • Develop, support, and drive equipment qualification and process validation and verification plans
  • Lead continuous improvement projects based on process/product trends, customer complaints, industry standards and government regulations
  • Assure quality systems of OEMs, manufacturers and suppliers are maintained
  • Ensure acceptance criteria are in alignment with component/product use and customer expectations
  • Provide Quality oversight of product/process change requests from suppliers
  • Ensure appropriate regulatory review and adequate validation for requested changes
  • Serve as internal and supplier quality auditor
  • Manage planning, execution, reporting and closure of audits and audit findings
  • 7+ years of experience in Supplier Quality with a manufacturing or product quality focus
  • Demonstrate technical innovation and leadership
  • Possess mechanical and/or electrical engineering skills
  • Understand and adhere to GMP practices and FDA regulations
  • Knowledge and effective use of relevant PC software applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science or equivalent
  • Experienced in DFMAT (Design for manufacturability and testability) and process enhancement at suppliers
  • Understand and apply DFMEA to review CTS/CTQ for Process Validation and Validation plan at suppliers
  • Ability to perform minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements
  • Reside in or within commuting distance to Bothell, WA
  • US work authorization is a precondition of employment

Senior Supplier Engineer

In this role you

Your role:

You're the right fit if:

  • 7+ years of experience in Supplier Quality with a manufacturing or product quality focus.
  • Your skills include the ability to demonstrate technical innovation, technical leadership, mechanical and or electrical engineering, understanding of and adherence to GMP practices and FDA regulations and the knowledge and use of relevant PC software applications and skills to use them effectively.
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science or equivalent of education and experience to successfully perform the essential function of the job
  • Experienced in DFMAT (Design for manufacturability and testability) and process enhancement at suppliers. Understand and able to apply DFMEA to review CTS/CTQ (Critical to Safey and Quality) for Process Validation and Validation plan at suppliers.
  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this Office/Remote position.

How we work together

We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 3 days per week. Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities. Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.

This is an office role.

Philips Transparency Details

The pay range for this position in Bothell, WA is $100,000 to $140,000, Annually.

The actual base pay offered may vary within the posted ranges depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal equity.

In addition, other compensation, such as an annual incentive bonus, sales commission or long-term incentives may be offered. Employees are eligible to participate in our comprehensive Philips Total Rewards benefits program, which includes a generous PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA (with company contribution), stock purchase plan, education reimbursement and much more.
