Enphase Energy is seeking a Staff Automation Engineer to join their Automation Engineering team. This role involves defining, integrating, and testing system behavior for Enphase’s energy solutions. Responsibilities include understanding inverter use cases, creating automated test setups for DVT (Hardware, Firmware, Systems), building and reviewing test automation suites, and increasing automation coverage. The ideal candidate will have an Electrical/Power Electronics Engineering background, hands-on experience with electrical/electronic systems (HW/FW), and extensive knowledge of testing and automation, particularly with Python for data analysis.
Must have:
  • Understanding inverter use cases and test cases.
  • Creating end to end automated test setups for DVT (Hardware, Firmware and Systems).
  • Building test automation suites to enable automated test case execution.
  • Reviewing automated reports and increasing automation coverage of DVT suites.
  • Ramping up junior engineers in automation and how to execute automated tests.
  • Understanding customer issues and supporting DVT in reproducing field failures and test issues.
  • Understanding and validating electrical grid compliance requirements.
  • Conducting Design verification test (DVT) to assure full coverage of Micro Inverter system design.
  • Troubleshooting automation failures encountered during DVT and analyzing root cause.
  • Interacting with other Enphase groups such as storage, digital systems and technology office.
  • B.E. with 8+ years’ experience or Master’s with 6+ years experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of testing and automation of DVT tests.
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of test design and instrument automation and analysis of data using Python.
Good to have:
  • Subject matter expertise in Power Electronics circuits, Power supply and inverter topologies
  • Deployment of automation in DVT racks
  • Test development, execution and maintenance in Python
  • Debug of power electronics test racks involving AC/DC sources and regenerative loads

We are looking for Electrical/Power Electronics Engineering graduates at BE/BTech or ME/MTech levels. We are looking for candidates those have hands-on when it comes to working with or creating electrical / electronic systems. This includes being familiar with both HW and FW.

As a Staff Automation Engineer, a successful candidate will be part of the Automation Engineering team that is responsible for defining, integrating, and testing the systems behaviour for Enphase’s energy solutions.

What you will be doing:

  • Understanding inverter use cases and to test cases.

  • Building test automation suites to enable automated test case execution.

Who you are and what you bring:

  • Qualification and Previous Experience:
  • B.E. and 8+ years’ experience outside of university or
  • Master’s and 6+ years.
  • Extensive knowledge of testing and automation of DVT tests
  • Strong in-depth knowledge of test design and instrument automation and analysis of data using python.
  • What would make you stand out?
