Staff Engineer, SSD Firmware

Micron Technology is seeking a Staff Engineer, SSD Firmware to innovate memory and storage solutions. This role involves in-depth embedded firmware development, expertise in scripting languages like Python, and a strong understanding of storage technologies including SSD, HDD, PCIe/NVMe, SATA, SAS, NAND flash, and non-volatile storage. The successful candidate will work independently, lead teams, and thrive in a multi-functional environment, contributing to advancements in artificial intelligence and 5G applications.

Must Have

• In-depth knowledge and extensive experience with embedded firmware development
• Expertise in scripting languages, programming tools, and environments
• Extensive experience programming in Python
• Experience in the storage industry in SSD, HDD, storage systems, or a related technology
• Understanding of storage interfaces including ideally PCIe/NVMe, SATA, or SAS
• Experience with NAND flash and other non-volatile storage
• Ability to work independently with a minimum of day-to-day supervision
• Experience with team leadership and/or supervising junior engineers and technicians
• Ability to work in a multi-functional team and under the pressure of multiple priorities
