Must have:
  • Contribute to business operations strategy development and assist in identifying, planning, and implementing business improvement opportunities.
  • Continuously measure and monitor processes, risks, and controls through post-implementation reviews and gap analysis.
  • Implement operational excellence strategies and roadmaps in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage of required changes.
  • Mentor and coach continuous improvement champions to drive global metrics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on process/continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques.
Good to have:
  • Black Belt trained/certified
  • Training in OCM, ACMP, PROSCI, ADKAR

Position Summary

The Staff Operational Excellence Specialist plays an important role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of operations. The job involves a range of responsibilities that focus on continuous improvement and the implementation of best practices across various departments.

Position Responsibilities

  • Contribute to business operations strategy development and assist in the identification, planning, and implementation of business improvement opportunities.
  • Continuously measure and monitor processes, risks, and controls through post-implementation reviews and gap analysis.
  • Implement operational excellence strategies and roadmaps in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Lead and facilitate process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize adoption and usage of required changes. Anticipate and minimize resistant behaviors from employees and stakeholders impacted by the changes.
  • Mentor and coach continuous improvement champions to drive global metrics including productivity, cost, quality, delivery, and lead time.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on process/continuous improvement methodologies, tools and techniques.

Position Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in leading improvement projects, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • LSS Green Belt certified and Black Belt trained/certified preferred.
  • A solid understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and tools. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Training in OCM, ACMP, PROSCI, ADKAR would be advantageous.
  • Proven ability to lead and facilitate workshops and training sessions.
