Job Description

Manychat is seeking a Staff Product Designer to lead the Engagement Experience, focusing on Inbox, Contacts, Audiences, and Broadcasting. This role involves shaping the product vision, iterating on existing features, and exploring new technologies to help content creators connect, manage, and grow their audiences. The ideal candidate is an exceptional IC and mentor, a strategic product partner, and a systems-level thinker, passionate about customer needs and driving innovation in social CRM.
Must Have:
  • 8+ years of product design experience, with at least 3 years driving high-impact initiatives at scale.
  • Proven experience leading design of holistic target experiences with high feature consistency, ideally across B2B SaaS, CRM, or engagement platforms.
  • Proven ability to shape product strategy in ambiguous spaces, influencing roadmaps and driving alignment at the leadership level.
  • A portfolio showcasing ecosystem-level design impact through expertise in information architecture that creates clarity, establishes effective hierarchy, and ensures findability.
  • Knowledge of structured object-oriented design approaches for modeling audiences, contacts, and conversations as reusable, scalable design objects and data models.
  • Strong systems thinking, with experience in architecting design patterns across interconnected products.
  • Expertise in crafting microinteractions that improve usability and create moments of delight in high-frequency workflows.
  • Solid visual and interaction design craft, with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Expertise in research and rapid prototyping methods to explore and de-risk new concepts.
  • Experience mentoring and elevating other designers, acting as a multiplier for the team’s impact.

What you’ll do 🚀

Balance horizons of impact

  • Iterate and refine in-market experiences, closing UX gaps and improving adoption, retention, and satisfaction.
  • Lead redesigns, new features, and convergence work aligned to an Experience North Star. Use the design system as a key enabler for scale and speed.
  • Explore new business models, emerging technology, and early prototypes that may define Manychat’s future category leadership.

Define & Elevate the Engagement Experience

  • Partner with product leadership to articulate the design vision for the Engagement area, connecting Inbox, Contacts, Audiences, and Broadcasting into one coherent ecosystem.
  • Lead conceptual explorations that reimagine how creators engage with their audiences, shape near-term priorities , and influence long-term product roadmaps.
  • Deliver high-quality designs that address both customer needs and business opportunities, maintaining exceptional standards from prototype to production.

Mentor & Raise the Craft Bar

  • Coach other designers in the Engagement area, strengthening their craft, systems thinking, and product strategy skills.
  • Establish design patterns, best practices, and workflows that help teams deliver with speed and quality.
  • Contribute to a culture of feedback, learning, and design excellence.

Push Innovation Across Engagement Experiences

  • Reimagine the Inbox as a proactive communication hub that organizes, prioritizes, and surfaces critical opportunities through AI and automation.
  • Shape Contacts and Audiences into a powerful CRM-like foundation for creators, enabling smarter segmentation, targeting, and engagement.
  • Elevate Broadcasting capabilities with clear flows, analytics, and design patterns that help creators engage at scale without losing authenticity.
  • Prototype future-forward experiences that bridge automation with human engagement, testing bold ideas and setting new standards for social CRM.

Lead Influence & Collaboration

  • Act as a thought partner to PMs and engineering leads, shaping product and experience strategy together.
  • Collaborate with multiple product teams to ensure consistency, coherence, and scalability across Engagement experiences.
  • Build alignment across stakeholders by telling compelling stories that connect design vision to user and business outcomes.
