Job Summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a CAD Designer to join their team in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The role involves bringing groundbreaking ideas to life, particularly in autonomous electric vehicles. Candidates should have a Master's in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering, at least 3 years of experience in embedded design, and proficiency with CAD tools like UG NX or CATIA, as well as PLM tools. The position requires experience in Design for Assembly and Manufacturing methodologies.

Must Have

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded design developments
  • Experience in Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing methodology
  • Familiar with more than 1 leading CAD design tool
  • Experience in UG nx or CATIA CAD tool min 3-6 Yrs.
  • Experience in CAD Modeling and Detailing min 3-6 Yrs.
  • Experience in PLM tools (ENOVIA, Teamcenter etc.) min 3-6 Yrs.

Good to Have

  • Experienced in industrial or automotive area (TIER1...)
  • Solid understanding with embedded electronics design constraints
  • Familiar with system/component design
  • Knowledge of applicable and other regulations, industry benchmarks and customer requirements
  • Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Belt certification
  • Justified experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics
  • Experienced in EMI/EMC design constraints for mechanical design

Basic Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in embedded design developments
  • Experience in Design for Assembly and Design for Manufacturing methodology.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid understanding with embedded electronics design constraints

  • Justified experience in thermal management for ECU embedded electronics

Should have experience in:

  • UG nx or CATIA CAD tool min 3-6 Yrs.
  • Experience in CAD Modeling and Detailing min 3-6 Yrs.
  • PLM tools (ENOVIA, Teamcenter etc.) min 3-6 Yrs.
  • CAE Tools Ansys for Mechanical Preferred.
