This role requires excellent communication, time management and people management skills.

Strategic Initiative Leader – Investment Management

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Investment Management team at Mercer. This role will be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

  • Act as a thought partner to the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) on strategic initiatives, priorities, and organisational planning.
  • Lead, oversee, or contribute to strategic projects to ensure achievement of team and business objectives.
  • Manage the office of the CIO, including people leadership as required.
  • Serve as a liaison between the CIO and internal teams, fostering strong and productive relationships with all stakeholders.
  • Optimise the CIO’s time and workload by managing meeting agendas, briefings, and priorities.

What you need to have:

  • Tertiary qualification in business, economics, or a related discipline (preferred).
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience in a professional services organisation.
  • Demonstrated experience in organisation, stakeholder management, and delivery of strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and people management skills.
